Piaget

Executive: Mr. Larry Boland

Founded: 1874

George Piaget was a farmer turned watchmaker in the village of La-Cote-aux-Fees, Switzerland. His watch company was founded in 1874 when he began to make more money from his beautiful watches than from farming. George Piaget's sons eventually took over the business and guided the company through the economically hard first half of the twentieth century.

Up to World War II, Piaget's watches were marketed through other companies, but after the war the founder's grandsons Gerald Piaget and Valentin Piaget brought the family name to the forefront of the watch world, where it has remained ever since. Today, Piaget boasts, "You don't read the time from a Piaget, you admire it."
