The name Maurice Lacroix represents decades of experience in the making of quality watches. In 1961, Zurichs Desco von Schulthess AG the Maurice Lacroix parent company acquired an assembly facility in Saignelgier in the Swiss Jura mountains where it produced private labels destined for the domestic and international markets. In 1975 the company launched its own Maurice Lacroix brand.

In 2006, Maurice Lacroix launched its first own manufacture movement - the start of a new era for the brand.

Due to an efficient sales organisation, Maurice Lacroix is available at 3,700 points of sale (POS) in more than 60 countries today. With sales organisations in Europe, the Pacific Basin (Far East, Australia) and the United States, Maurice Lacroix has penetrated step by step all internationally significant watch markets.

The watchmakers Saignelgier production facility is one of the industrys most modern. Major investments were made in 1999 to bring state-of-the-art technology to the manufacturing of watch cases. In addition, from 2000 to 2003 Maurice Lacroix modernised and enlarged the assembly facility and opened a company-owned training and information centre. Maurice Lacroix is committed to the continued expansion of its Swiss production facility.
